Rowing for the economy

The fishing had an uncertain beginning of the year, because the first projections were not too encouraging since the worldwide pandemic outbreak came to our country, pausing all the economic categories in Peru. This first season has been positive for the sector thanks to the conditions that were presented. In addition, Hayduk with its direct human consumption products, such as Campomar canned food, kept on working to provide nourishment to every Peruvian.

The fishing sector has been very important to confront the economic crisis we are going through, because the supply of basic consumer goods was allowed in different points of sale, making the distribution easier and avoiding the scarcity due to the sanitary crisis. As a category we played an important role not only on the food field, but also on the reactivation of the economy, as we were one of the first companies to implement biosecurity protocols that allowed us to keep working on a more safely way.

In order to continue with the challenge of keeping in operation and to assure the health of our collaborators, on the way strict protocols were designed. These were controlled by SGS Peru, a leader company in inspections, with the purpose of continuing to have activity, whether it be with our Campomar canned food or above all exporting our fish flour and oil, which represent a very beneficial income for the country and the GDP in the current circumstances.

We are sure that the Peruvian state, accompanied by important economic sectors such as fishing, will accomplish the planned goals to recover our country and move forward.
