FOR ISSF CONSERVATION MEASURE 3.1(c)

PESQUERA HAYDUK S.A. Since 2018, prohibits the intentional fishing of any shark on its vessels (Annex 1), being strict about the practice of shark finning. the retention on board of any fins and the discarding to the sea of the rest of the lifeless body. In addition, the company requires that the fins be naturally attached to the shark’s body, in case of unintentional retention.

Furthermore, we understand that the destructive practice of shark finning contravenes many international rules and regulations, including those of ali major tuna Regional Fisheries Management Organizations (RFMOs).

In order to better protect sharks, both PESQUERA HAYDUK S.A., and its vessels, assume as their own the following statement:

• Do not target shark catches.
• Do not establish shark lines on buoys.
• Prohibit the use of wire scraps.
• Prohibit the practice of shark finning.
• Promote the release of sharks that are caught ali ve.
• Do not retain oceanic whitetip sharks or silky sharks.
• For other landed sharks, retain the carcass with fins attached to its body.
• Record shark species in the fishing log for ali sharks landed.
