Lima, August 2025. Pesquera Hayduk has received the Second Star of the “Peru
Carbon Footprint” (Huella de Carbono Perú) Program, a distinction awarded by the
Ministry of Environment (MINAM) that accredits the second level of Greenhouse Gas
(GHG) management.
“This achievement is the result of the constant work of our team to reduce
environmental impact and promote responsible fishing. We firmly believe that
sustainability is the way to ensure a competitive, prosperous fishing industry that is
committed to future generations”, said Pamela Arellano, Head of Environmental
Management at Hayduk.
Environmental impact and commitment
The Second Star reflects not only technical progress but also Hayduk’s commitment to
cleaner production, operational efficiency, and compliance with the country’s climate
goals. The company develops projects for emission reduction, energy efficiency, and
circular economy that contribute to the preservation of our environment.
Certifications that endorse its management
Furthermore, the Végueta, Malabrigo, and Coishco plants, along with their vessel
maintenance facilities, have been recertified under the ISO 14001:2015 standard,
validating the correct environmental management of all their operations.
With these advances, Hayduk reaffirms its position as a benchmark in clean and
sustainable production, working to conserve the sea and guarantee resources for
future generations, in line with global market demands and international certification
standards such as “MarinTrust” and “Friend of the Sea”.
